Oh, What a Wiff-a-ler Mornin'

Is it raining on your Fourth??  Put those blues aside; time to croon, wiffler brethren.

The latest wiffler song is ready for your best Broadway performance.  Sung to the opening number of Rogers and Hammerstein's groundbreaking 1943 musical, Oklahoma!, "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'".

If you need help with the melody, you can sing along with HUGH JACKMAN (yes, him!) at the link at the bottom!!

There are bright, golden lines on the asphalt
There's a waiting score-board on the asphalt.
The strikezone is chalked and there is a bat
And all of the wifflers are wearing their hats!

Oh, what a wiff-a-ler Mornin'
Oh, what a wiff-a-ler day.
I've got a beautiful feelin'
Wiffler's gon' strikeout today.

All the curveballs are breakin' toward lefties
All the curveballs are breakin' toward lefties.
They don't turn their heads as the fastballs go by
So the beanballs can hit them square in the eye!

Oh, what a wiff-a-ler Mornin'
Oh, what a wiff-a-ler day.

I've got a beautiful feelin'
I'm gonna homer today.

Oh, the sound of the bat is like music
Ah, the great plastic “thwack” is like music.
The soar of the ball is majestic and grand
An' watching it land in the outfielder's hands!

DAMN!

Oh, what a wiff-a-ler Mornin'
Oh, what a wiff-a-ler day.
I've got a beautiful feelin'
I'm gonna chalk some today.

Oh, what a wiff-a-ler day!
